What I’ve learned from the past 15 Chapter?
I’ve learned that having the passion, giving importance, motivation in whatever you will be doing will give your success in return. Those are the formulas on achieving the success you want in your hand. You should also value your customers, you should know how to deal with them, when to listen to them, be honest to them and tell everything that they needed to know. Make yourself transparent where they can get connected with you. Listening to them would make a difference in you and you will be more improved. What you are doing as a developer should not be hidden in a treasure box, it should be out for the people to see and use.
When one was able to execute the application you have done successfully, that is only the time you can say that what you have done is a success. Don’t make your head bigger than your future. You should always make everything equal and don’t boast.
There are lots of ways, ingredients for you to build a successful application. You have to have in your hand the main ingredients before you can make it. You better be sure that you have what you really need and throw the things that you don’t need or applicable. The clients that you were serving should be satisfied to what you have done, if not. Listen to them and address it. I’ve learned a lot and this book teaches me that everything should be valued.
Finally! Last Chapter! Whew!
“Update“
Updating your customer about the latest happening and news about you will mean a lot to them. If you were able to give them updates, it means that you are giving them something new and you were listening and making solutions for their inquiries. By listening to your client, it only means that you are perfecting your product bit by bit by updating it. Before launching your product world wide, you have to almost perfected the product. After launching it, you should be able to get comments and feedback about the product.
“Blogging“
In blogging, you can make you as the company and the people interact with each other. You are able to talk to them humanly. In blogging, your clients will hear more updates and they will be more informed about the latest news about the product. And in this, clients will be sure that the product they are using still exists. So before launching the product, blog! Show everyone that your product is real and seduce them
“Beta“
Beta is used to test your product functionally with the help of your products. But remember that beta test are not complete and it is not perfect. You can use the app but it is not fully functional and this is where you can find bugs, so don’t blame it to the developers since it is still in Beta test.
Beta is always free of charge. Be sure that it will not be always Beta, you should be able to release the real one.
“Bugs“
Bugs makes people panic and it is really annoying. Know the bugs of your application and solve it. There is always a way that you can fix it. You should prioritize the bugs. Fixing it asap will let the people feel less hassle. Bugs needs to be fixed immediately since no one ever wants bug in their application. And if your client complain, be honest, explain everything and tell them that you’re going to fix it
“Passion and Competition“
Everyone needs passion. And it boost our self esteem when we have the passion to finish something. Hearing good or bad comment, reaction or suggestion should give you the passion to fix and be better. It should not give you any negative reaction. Passion is something that one should have when he is doing something. If you want to succeed, have the passion for it.
You can see competition anywhere, admit it! Even if you are in school, you are in LRT there will be always competition. Some companies always have ears to what new about their competitors. it’s a good way to help you improve more if you know whose you are dealing with.
Whatever you are doing, remember that it should be the BEST. be MOTIVATED!
This chapter talks about how should company value their customer and also how to deal with them. Customer is the number one asset of a company rather it is the most important asset. We have to listen to them since they know what they needed. And they are able to determine it strengths and weaknesses. Since you are the one whose making the product, we have listen to them face to face. The team you are in should know everything what your customer is saying and you as the maker should be able to address and make a solution to their complaints. If you were able to solve it, it only means you will be able to make a good solution to the problem and improve your product.
In addressing to your client problem, you need not to train someone like those who are in the call center. If your people really knows about what you product is really is. They can easily answer the inquiries of the clients and this can be done through online. You need not also to spend a lot just to get a seat or person to answer all their question and the most costly there is training them what to tell.
Users love to get their answers as soon as possible. They don’t like to wait for so long before they will be answered. Most of them get annoyed when the conversation and waiting is too long. I had this experience where I called a hotline and before they pick it up it was more than an hour. I called and called. It was really annoying but I can’t help it, I need to tell them the problem. Companies should avoid this kind because they might lose a client.
Their representatives doesn’t need to perfect everything that they should say. It will be a relief if their client was able to get a tiny usable information for their problem. They need to be informed and it does not need to be perfect. The answer should be acceptable and should be some sort of solution.
Not all customer is right. Some get histerical and say that they are always right. In developing an application, a developer can say no when they see that their client suggestion is not that usable. Developers know what is best and all they want to know is what is the major use of the application. They know what is best, and they can say no everytime a client gets to bossy and didn’t realize that what is he asking for is too much and might make the application more complicated.
